Tonight Iain, I am going to be....

Born in Grimsby, in 1922, to a deep sea fisherman father and mother who was a packer of licorice allsorts. I grew up, and spent the first few years of my working life as a carpet fitter for Carpet Barn, Hemel Hampstead. It wasn't till I was in my early fifties that i hit the big time and now a household name with many multi selling albums.
Yes, tonight Iain, I am going to be.......
Dolly Parton.

Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen; pour myself a cup of ambition, and yawn, and stretch, and try to come to life. Jump in the shower, and the blood starts pumping; out on the street, the traffic starts jumping, with folks like me on the job from nine to five.
Chorus: 1,3,5. Nine to five, what a way to make a living; barely getting by,it's all taking and no giving. They just use your mind, and (depending on verse) "they never give you" or "you never get the" credit; it's enough to drive you crazy, if you let it.
Verse 2 They let you dream just to watch them shatter; You're just a step on the boss man's ladder, But you've got dreams he'll never take away. In the same boat with a lot of your friends; Waitin' for the day your ship'll come in, And the tide's gonna turn, and it's all gonna roll your way.
Chorus: 2 Nine to five, for service and devotion; you would think that I would deserve a fair promotion; want to move ahead, but the boss won't seem to let me. I swear some-times, that man is out to get me.
Chorus: 4,6. Nine to five, they've got you where they want you; There's a better life, and you dream about it, don't you? It's a rich man's game, no matter what they call it; And you spend your life putting money in his pocket.

Well I am a bit of a Supertrouper, but not much of a Dancing Queen (ahem!). At the moment I Have a Dream of stardom but as you know The Winner Takes it All, the winner in this case being Fernando, he will be spending the next year in the Summer Night City. Anyway I hope someone will Take A Change on Me in my new career as Nina Pretty Ballerina. [img]

Born in the early forties, in Dublin, but later emmigrating to America to escape my drunken father, i found work in the many soda bars, serving the customers. After a brief fling working as an actor in adult films, i was discovered by a hollywood emprasario.
Yes tonight, Iain, I am going to be, Kermit the Frog.
It's not that easy bein' green; Having to spend each day the color of the leaves. When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold- or something much more colorful like that.
It's not easy bein' green. It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things. And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water- or stars in the sky.
But green's the color of Spring. And green can be cool and friendly-like. And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful! And I think it's what I want to be.

Surely the fun should be, can we guess who you are going to be from your clues? Spoils it a bit for me when you tell us your name and show us a pic!
Come on put us to the test Phil... I'm sure there are loads of people you could be?

Just dug this out of the old timers bin... Its by Tony Bennett (I have no idea who it is)... but its one of Vino's fave artists... its called "Because of You"
Because of you there's a song in my heart Because of you my romance had its start Because of you the sun will shine The moon and stars will say you're mine Forever and never to part
I only live for your love and your kiss It's paradise to be near you like this Because of you my life is now worth while And I can smile Because of you
[Instrumental Interlude]
I only live for your love and your kiss It's paradise to be near you like this Because of you my life is now worth while And I can smile Because of you
Isn't that sweet eh?
